About the Opportunity
Achilles Foot and Ankle Center is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to join our established and growing practice in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area.
This is a full-time, primarily office-based podiatry position designed for a physician who wants more than a traditional associate job.

The position offers:
$160,000-$210,000 guaranteed base salary
Uncapped production-based bonus
Defined pathway toward partnership and practice ownership
Opportunity to purchase up to 30% ownership of the practice over 15 years

Two established Richmond-area clinical locations

Ownership opportunities are subject to continued employment, performance, mutual fit, fair-market-value purchase requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Compensation
Base Salary: $160,000-$210,000 per year
Starting salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and clinical background.
In addition to guaranteed base compensation, the physician will be eligible for an uncapped tiered production bonusafter reaching an annual production threshold equal to 1.5 times earned base salary.
The incentive structure rewards increasing levels of productivity, with bonus percentages increasing for higher levels of eligible collections.
For example, using a $180,000 base salary, total annual physician compensation could reach approximately:
$262,000 at $800,000 in eligible collections
$302,000 at $1,000,000 in eligible collections
$352,000 at $1,200,000 in eligible collections
$427,000 at $1,500,000 in eligible collections
There is no stated maximum production bonus.
Complete production thresholds, eligible collections, calculation methodology, and bonus terms are defined in the employment agreement.
Partnership & Ownership Track
We believe physicians who help build a successful practice should have an opportunity to participate in its long-term value.
The successful associate will have a defined pathway toward purchasing an ownership interest in Achilles Foot and Ankle Center.
After an initial qualification period, the physician may become eligible to purchase incremental ownership interests at fair market value, ultimately reaching up to 30% practice ownership over a 15-year pathway.
Ownership eligibility is based on factors including continued employment, professional performance, compliance, licensure, good standing, mutual fit, and applicable legal requirements.

Clinical Practice
The position is primarily focused on comprehensive office-based podiatric medicine.
Our physicians evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, including:
Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
Achilles tendinopathy
Posterior and anterior tibial tendon disorders
Peroneal tendon disorders
Sports medicine injuries
Ankle and foot arthritis
Peripheral neuropathy
Diabetic foot conditions
Wound care
Ingrown toenails
Fungal and dystrophic nail conditions
Dermatologic conditions of the foot and ankle
Plantar warts and benign skin lesions
Gout
In-office injections
Minor office-based procedures
Preventive and at-risk foot care
The position is ideal for a podiatrist who enjoys comprehensive outpatient care, developing long-term patient relationships, and maintaining an efficient and diverse clinical schedule.
This is not primarily a surgical position.
Schedule
Our practice provides a structured clinical schedule designed to offer physicians predictable working hours.
Monday-Thursday: Full clinical days
Friday: Half-day schedule
Clinical sessions are organized into dedicated morning and afternoon schedules with a scheduled lunch period.

Mechanicsville

Qualifications
Applicants must have:
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited school of podiatric medicine
Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
Active Virginia podiatric medical license or eligibility to obtain Virginia licensure
Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
Commitment to ethical, evidence-based patient care
Ability to work effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff
Interest in contributing to the continued growth of the practice
New residency graduates and experienced podiatrists are encouraged to apply.
